Conference Calls
Held throughout the year, and an integral part of BENCH membership, conference calls are a powerful networking tool. Topics reflect the times, such as a recent multidisciplinary call on Planning for the H1N1 season. Other topics reflect more specialized needs, such as a recent one on Child Life-Working in Tough Economic Times.
Call notes and documents are sent to call participants, and are in the Knowledgebase.
Discussion Boards
Discussion threads are an integral, daily part of BENCH membership. Members go directly to the BENCH website and post their questions to specific sub groups such as Laboratory, Asthma Core Measures, or other departments. Our discussions span every aspect of pediatric care, from Administration to Volunteers.
Responses are quick and informative. Contact information is included, giving participants the opportunity to follow up directly with more detail.
Remember the question but forgot the responses? No problem-the library keeps all discussion threads intact on the Website, where they can be searched with ease.
Team of Experts
Networking with BENCH provides access to a ready-made team of experts, who respond from their experience-what worked, what did not. It is an invaluable tool, and ensures that a professional does not have to solve the problem on his own.
Surveys
mmp|BENCH's survey process is a gold mine of information. Topics are proposed by members, and reviewed by experts who expand and clarify the questions. mmp|BENCH sends the survey electronically to appropriate member departments, and then collates the responses. Results are distributed to participants in a single powerful package.

User-Defined Issues
Each BENCH member hospital is unique, but all pediatric hospitals in the US and Canada share similar challenges and resonate with the need to solve them.
