Two Decades of Data

The kick-off meeting for BENCH was held in 1992, and the excitement in the room was palpable. The group created a pediatric focused performance measurement initiative, and requested that mmp|BENCH provide stewardship for the project. No more trying to squeeze relevance out of adult data, no more trying to make sense of staffing for intensive care or understanding the impact of radiology exams completed on children.

mmp|BENCH has been collecting, analyzing and facilitating BENCH since 1992. Our core competencies are benchmarking key outcomes, processes, and departmental productivity. The data is submitted quarterly by our member hospitals; it is due six weeks after the end of the quarter. The data is available in ChartBuilder within 24 hours after the data due date.
